Good morning beautiful Why do you look so sad today? It's because he's left you behind, left you behind Good morning beautiful Why won't you come on out and play a game You cannot decide, cannot decide Open up your eyes and see Forget the silly words they used to say You are everything to me So jump out of bed because today is a brand new day! Good morning, rise and shine Why do you want to disappear? It's because there's nothing to do, nothing you can do Good morning, rise and shine If you trust my words there is nothing to fear For you don't have much to lose, much to lose Open up your eyes and see Forget the silly words they used to say You are everything to me So jump out of bed because today is a brand new day! There's nothing you can say or do That will change the way I think about you You don't think that you're pretty But that's okay Good morning beautiful Why does it seem you want to cry It's because they've knocked you down, knocked you down Good morning beautiful Please take my hand and your tears will dry I'll put your feet on the ground, on solid ground Open up your eyes and see Forget the silly words they used to say You are everything to me So jump out of bed because today is a brand new day!

Is there anybody thinking of the wives at home? And the trouble that they go through when they're alone? I can’t recall a time that I have ever heard their names And for that I don’t know who there is to blame Is there anybody thinking of the boys returning? And the oddly morbid lessons that they have learnt? They never thought they’d kill or be killed for their country or their king But these are the newfound viewpoints that war will bring A lady sits at a dining table, thinking of their love Their kids, and the happy future that they’ll all have But then a letter came and it said: “HE’S DEAD ON THE TURKISH BEACHES.” And a ghostly figure reaches for her hand Is there anybody thinking of the volunteers And the fact they had to conquer all their fears There were nurses, doctors, and frontline drivers, of this I can be sure But they’ve all become a footnote we can’t recall A doctor amongst the battle is tending to the wounded men He takes a break in his quarters, tried but glad But then a letter came and it said: “HE’S DEAD ON THE TURKISH BEACHES.” And the broken brother doesn’t understand So many went for stayed at home, but I haven’t heard of one So please don’t forget their names at the going down of the sun Please don’t forget their names at the going down of the sun

Well it seems that people know So I guess it’s time to go Take on this challenge that is love The only problem that I see Is the way things turn out to be A sandpaper heart could be pretty rough But love is gonna win out I feel love is gonna win out It’s time to rid my heart of singledom Her parents could be nice Or have hearts all filled with ice I’ll never know unless I ask Our relationship could soar I could be happy forever more Or I could move on to greener grass But love is gonna win out I feel love is gonna win out It’s time to rid my heart of singledom She knows just who I am But she doesn’t understand With the silly songs I play I’m just trying to say: I LOVE YOU My life is going fine But it could be better all the time If we walked together down quiet lanes It’s gonna be a wild ride But she will still be by my side Through all the joy and all the pain But love is gonna win out I know love is gonna win out It’s time to rid my heart of singledom

Walking home all alone Another day has passed Sulking through the red front door Is this a love that’s built to last I’m sure there has to be a way to talk to her But there’s nothing I can do So as I lie on my bed feeling out of place And she’s got friends around, she’s showing all her grace She would stick with her people, I should stay with mine It’s time I said “good night” to the social butterfly Every day is the same To class is where I go I’m only here to see her face There she is, my vision slows I hope that I will catch her eye And she will talk to me But there’s nothing I can do So as I lie on my bed feeling out of place And she’s got friends around, she’s showing all her grace She would stick with her people, I should stay with mine It’s time I said “good night” to the social butterfly There may still be a little hope Another day will come Although I’m leaning on the ropes Her heart could still be won All I have to do it ask And that’s the troubled thing So there’s nothing I can do So as I lie on my bed feeling out of place And she’s got friends around, she’s showing all her grace She would stick with her people, I should stay with mine It’s time I said “goodbye” to the social butterfly

Sundress 04:16
Do you see her over there? Tired eyes and wavy hair You say you don’t know what I see in her But you’ve never seen her smile She’s looking out into the world Is there any other girl Who could take a simple thing like this And make it last for such a while? She’s who I’m thinking of For all eternal time And you should know I hope the girl in the sundress will never die A cup of coffee in her hand Left in the kitchen as I planned No added sugar could be as sweet as her Though it sometimes doesn’t show And every single time she speaks Her velvet voice makes my knees feel weak And there no one left around Just me and her And it all she needs to know She’s the girl I’m thinking of For all eternal time And you should know I hope the girl in the sundress will never die And as the clouds begin to bloom She will regress into her room With all the wooden floors and pastel walls It is such a pretty sight She puts her cup into the sink And as she goes I always think That she walks with all the grace of a ballet dancer Or a bluebird in full flight She’s the girl I’m thinking of For all eternal time And you should know I hope the girl in the sundress will never die

You shout, you fight, you're making light Of the trouble that I see around the bend You say that you can make him right But you yourself have a broken heart to mend So don't say that you are sorry Avoid the mess that he will make In a couple of weeks or sooner, you will know Maria, let him go He holds you close, but more than most There's something that he's hiding beneath the skin He'll raise a glass just to make no toast I'd hate to see a person like him win your heart over So don't say that you are sorry Avoid the mess that he will make In a couple of weeks or sooner, you will know Maria, let him go You preach the words that you have heard You gather around the gaslight of his speech He runs a class that's so absurd There are some lessons a man should never teach AND YOU'VE BEEN STUDENT TO NUMBER ONE So don't say that you are sorry Avoid the mess that he will make In a couple of weeks or sooner, you will know Maria, let him go

Today we walk in a blizzard of our wintery discontent To show disappointment at the way your money has been spent We’ve heard what you have said before, your speech will be the same But we’re not getting on our feet for pay Because we’re thinking of the children We’re not walking just to pass on by We’re thinking of our children For we promised them we won’t let them down this time Look all around you at the people that you see They don’t seem very happy with the way that things have been Though we have seen the budget allocations that you’ve planned We still think that it’s time we had a stand Because we’re thinking of the children We’re not walking just to pass on by We’re thinking of our children For we promised them we won’t let them down this time

Walking along the street with you, I notice something’s changed I’m noticing the seasons have slowly begun to change The grass is green, the sky is clear, but the leaves are going gold I hope that they will not fall down before we grow old Though these are the last of the summer skies Please take my hand And kiss me in the street, in the dark of night Though it won’t be the last time I met you seven months ago at a fire burning bright You came to me to say “hello”, and then I saw the light I rang to ask, and you said “YES”, our life as two began But as the sun begins to set I’ll say to you again Though these are the last of the summer skies Please take my hand And kiss me in the street, in the dark of night Though it won’t be the last time I know that this sounds soppy, and you’ve heard this all before The fire of our life, it’s just not present anymore Don’t get me wrong, I STILL LOVE YOU, it’s only just begun So wipe this tear off of my cheek, for we are still as one Though these are the last of the summer skies Please take my hand And kiss me in the street, in the dark of night Though it won’t be the last time

It's coming close to curtain call This is why I couldn't sleep last night I feel pinned against the wall To be honest, if I broke a leg, I wouldn't mind In the wings, all I can see Is the director whose been so mean to me In my mind he says carefully: "I'd never lie to you, but you lie about me!" It's time to push all that aside There's not enough time to try to hide It's time for the world's greatest number We're going down swinging so let's all cheer! It's gonna be good, I know it It's gonna be good, I know it I see the Aussies, they are on fire With singing voices I could only dream to have All the crew is in the same attire But there's so many different faces in this cast. It's time to push all that aside There's not enough time to try to hide It's time for the world's greatest number We're going down swinging so let's all cheer! It's gonna be good, I know it It's gonna be good, I know it As you can see, all the world's a stage So many people; servent, prince, vizer So, together, let's turn the page The finale of the world is almost here It's time to push all that aside There's not enough time to try to hide It's time for the world's greatest number We're going down swinging so let's all cheer! It's gonna be good, I know it It's gonna be good, I know it

A computer screen is where I first saw your face I couldn’t see it in any other place Yet what we had was ours and ours alone Though you live over half a world away Your bedroom is a safe place that I can stay And in you I’ve found my shoulder of stone When the papers said that you were coming in July I cried the happiest tears I’ll ever cry Cos I’ll see you sometime later My darling, my love I will see you sometime later Though it’s just for the first time Though I’ve never seen your pretty face before I life won’t be as depressing, or any more than it already is I’ve grown so close to you For you I’ve placed my heart onto my sleeve I’ve kissed your cheek, although it’s only make-believe For I feel that there is nothing more to do When the papers said that you were coming in July I cried the happiest tears I’ll ever cry Cos I’ll see you sometime later My darling, my love I will see you sometime later Though it’s just for the first time
